Jim Fisher, Partner

Jim Fisher is an enterprising senior marketing executive with a record of designing innovative programs that result in significant revenue growth and a strong market presence. By using his expertise in brand positioning and personality, business planning, advertising, pricing, and public relations, he works to create a Total Customer Experience that forges an emotional link between brand, company culture, and customer for improved sales and profits.
Early in his professional career, Jim quickly rose to become a Vice President and Management Supervisor for several worldwide advertising firms such as Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy & Mather, and DDB. He handled major clients such as Campbell’s, McDonalds, Del Monte, and General Mills, developing marketing strategies, increasing brand recognition, and rolling out new products. These accomplishments attracted the attention of Pizza Hut where he became Senior Director of Advertising/Marketing and directed a major company repositioning and new product launches which exceeded expectations and added millions in profit.
Jim leveraged his expertise to build marketing teams at turnaround and regional restaurant chains before becoming Cracker Barrel Old Country Store’s first Marketing Vice President. He and his team launched the first loyalty program, consumer focused web site, and national event (NASCAR’s Cracker Barrel 500) in support of expansion out of the Southeast, pushing sales from $750 million to $1.3 billion in three years.
He served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Au Bon Pain while holding operational control over a $10M catering business. As part of a successful turnaround, he helped create a new brand position, personality, and menu focused Café Events while strategically driving pricing and profitability. The marketing led hospitality program enhanced the overall experience and contributed to 47% growth over five years.
After starting his own consulting firm with Ahold (Stop and Shop), Uno’s Chicago Grill, and the Massachusetts Hospital Association, Jim joined OneAccord because of the synergies and greater breadth of client support.
He received his BA in Economics from Yale University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB). He is on the Board of the Massachusetts 9/11 Fund (Executive Committee), the Marketing Executive Networking Group, and the Yale Club of Boston. He mentors alums and supports the development efforts of Yale and the GSB while heading the GSB’s Entrepreneurial Advisory Group.
He lives in the Boston area with his wife Pamela and stays in close touch with his three children.
