Bob Grant has over 20 years experience, primarily in sales and marketing, as a senior executive. He has successfully lead several companies to profitable growth as they entered new markets and expanded share in existing markets, both domestic and globally. His experience spans a wide range of companies from Fortune 100 to start-ups, with an emphasis on mid-market services companies and technology (software, telecom and internet) companies.

Bob enjoys the challenge of helping companies find the right mix of product development, marketing and sales channels that will enable them to achieve sustainable growth in competitive markets. He has also helped companies manage the difficult transition from a primarily founder/owner management team to a broader mix of executive experience and transition through M&A integration.

Implementing and managing multi-channel sales strategies, including direct, VARs, OEM and eCommerce in a variety of competitive environments have given Bob valuable insights to share with clients as they explore growth options. In some cases, organic growth alone cannot achieve aggressive growth goals and the strategy may need to include product or channel acquisitions to supplement or accelerate growth.

Bob’s successes also include company turnarounds and M&A. He is the former president and chief executive officer of Alliente, Inc., a business process outsourcing company, which he led to a successful acquisition by Ariba, Inc. in 2004. Prior to joining Alliente, he served as president and CEO of both Ligos Corporation and M2Networx, Inc. In each of these cases, the investors recruited him to turn around the company and/or set it up for an acquisition. In addition, he has held several senior executive roles with a variety of other companies including president and general manager, vice president marketing and vice president worldwide sales.

Bob holds a masters of science in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management (Sloan Fellow 1988). He lives in Colorado with his wife Linda and enjoys biking (mountain and road) hiking and skiing. Bob is a board member of the Center for Corporate Excellence and is on the board of his local church.
