Vince Bianco is a business executive with over 25 years experience building start-up companies from conception to acquisition as CEO, President, COO, Board Member, Investor and Founder. Vince has a wide range of skills across all functional areas, including sales & marketing, operations, and finance and has operated in diverse industries. In particular, Vince brings extensive experience and expertise in online marketing. In his career Vince has completed ten rounds of equity and debt financing, including venture capital for one company totaling $17.8-million. His core competency includes managing with limited resources, on tight budgets, and managing organizations with ambitious goals.
Vince most recently served as the CEO of Newsforce, an online advertising company which created the first online digital advertorial content platform, and article-based advertising network. Vince was responsible for managing the organization including sales and marketing, business development, engineering, fund-raising and operations. Vince raised a round of financing for Newsforce and was also an investor himself. Additionally he served on the Board of Directors.
Previously Vince was the President/CEO of Cervilenz, Inc. where he also served on the Board of Directors and was an investor. Cervilenz is a medical device company in women's healthcare, which manufactures and sells a simple to use disposable device that is used by nurses or doctors to measure cervical length to rule out preterm birth risk in pregnant women. Vince joined Cervilenz after it was out of funds and dormant, immediately raising a Series B Preferred Round of equity financing and restarting operations. Vince was responsible for managing the organization across all functional areas, and for commercializing the product for the first time in Arizona, California, and Nevada. He successfully published results of previous clinical study in a peer-reviewed nationally recognized medical journal. Vince eventually positioned company for sale by engaging a reputable investment banker specializing in medical device transactions.
Prior to that Vince was a co-founder, President/COO, and Board Member of The Return Exchange (now The Retail Equation), which developed the retail industry's first product return authorization system. Vince oversaw all aspects of company affairs including sales and marketing, operations, technology, and finance. He also led the company out of an extremely difficult post 9/11 environment, eventually leading to profitability. Vince drafted the company's investment documents including strategic and business plans. He raised $17.8-million in total capital including, institutional venture capital, private equity, and convertible debt. Among other things, Vince was responsible for meeting with the FTC to establish the company as a "Consumer Reporting Agency" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and successfully sold a portion of the business in a divestiture to a former competitor, while assigning key partner and vendor agreements.
Formerly, Vince was the COO and co-founder of Risk Data Corporation – a successful information technology start-up in the insurance industry. He had overall management and P&L responsibility for operations, R&D, and customer service. His operational responsibility included developing and deploying sophisticated software technology, and statistical insurance claims benchmarking products to the insurance industry. He recruited and trained vice presidents to oversee production, statistical analysis and model building, software development, and data standardization (including organizing and directing a highly technical staff of Ph.D. statisticians, senior software developers, and domain experts). Vince received two U.S. Patents, and one Australian Patent as inventor of the product. Risk Data was eventually acquired by HNC Software, a public company (now Fair Isaac) for a value of $61-million.
Vince and his college sweetheart Leslie have been married for over 27 years and are parents of two daughters. Vince founded with Leslie In the Company of Prayer (www.companyofprayer.com), a subscription email prayer service for business professionals with a global reach and loyal following. Together they are members of Legatus, an international association of Catholic CEOs. Vince was nominated for the 1st Annual Movers & Shakers Award by Transaction World Magazine in August of 2003. He is the holder of two patents in the U.S, and one in Australia, both for co-inventing a "System for Funding Future Workers' Compensation Losses" while at Risk Data Corporation. Vince spent some time as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Connect's Springboard Program in La Jolla, California, he holds a BA degree from the University of Redlands, and speaks Spanish fluently.
