Mr. Hennessey is an operating executive who has successfully developed and managed customer acquisition and Go-To-Market growth strategies for both the Fortune 500 and emerging companies. Rich is relentless in opening new markets and sales channels through international alliances to obtain a rapid entry into developing markets in the Americas, the Far East, the PAC Rim and Europe. He is a proven entrepreneur teaming with early stage, emerging market investment to successfully launch new start-ups that leverage their unique value proposition. As a leader, Rich is a stable, positive influence to reinvigorate operating performance. As a marketing innovator, he has led and promoted several branding initiatives, channel positioning and national product awareness campaigns. Mr. Hennessey has experience in airlines/aerospace, medical devices, CPG and high-tech manufacturing.
In addition to the Regional Managing role for OneAccord, Rich has been retained in several projects to develop and execute go to market strategies for new businesses in research and technology. Rich is currently engaged as a CEO of Ocean Embassy, Orlando Florida, a research start-up founded to educate the public on dolphin behavior and its importance as an indicator to environmental conditions around the world.
Previous 2010 - 2011 engagements include:
* An interim executive for Petty's Garage, a North Carolina based business founded by Richard Petty. Rich's role was to create the financial structure and synergies to scale for growth. This included creating new business opportunities with several automotive and aftermarket package goods brands then expanding upon several direct and indirect sales channels.
* A sell-side advisor for a Florida-based Air Ambulance company preparing for sale
In 2009, Rich was retained by a Florida based speech engineering firm, to test the viability of deploying sound compression intellectual property into the cell phone and speech recognition industry. Rich was also retained to develop Go-To-Market Strategies for Korean technology start-ups through the University of Texas venture capital program.
Previously, Mr. Hennessey was President/COO of Pro Tech Communications, Inc., a publically traded high-tech niche electronics start-up, manufacturing wired and wireless products for NASA through Boeing, 3M, and McDonalds. During his tenure, Rich developed worldwide manufacturing and distribution by successfully acquiring targeted packaged good channel alliances. He also has a strong orientation in finance and accounting and was acting CFO for five years for this company maintaining all corporate banking, SEC, legal and public accounting relationships. Previous to these roles, Rich created business development plans for Digital Equipment Corporation's New Ventures Group in Boston.
Rich has a degree in Economics from Boston College and is currently enrolled in the Kellogg Executive Management School in Miami Florida. Rich is also a member of BC's Chief Executive Club and Technology Council and currently serves as a team mentor in their entrepreneurial program. Rich has been married for 20 years and he and his wife Sandy have seven children.
